Our specialized and certified technicians follow the entire LLL installation process, both for new builds and for refitting and replacement of Low Location Lighting on vessels.
They analyze the project and submit it to the classification authorities. Once approved, the installation will be carried out.
CAIM is also certified service supplier for LLL testing and measurement.
Our certified technicians, equipped with high quality calibrated Digital Photometer, will go onboard to carry out the inspections and once the measurement is completed, they will release the certificate to the Master, in compliance with ISO15370 and IMO A.752(18) resolutions.
Photoluminescent signs, which CAIM has been producing and selling worldwide over 40 years, shall have the same performance as any installed photoluminescent Low Location Lighting, according to ISO 15370.
CAIM provides the signs using Med Approved Photoluminescent material (cert. nr. 0575)
According to IMO Res. A.752(18), photoluminescent strips should be no less than 75 mm wide.
In case they have a lower width, the luminance level must be proportionally increased in order to comply with the requirements. CAIM LLL system complies with the IMO and ISO standard. If required, we supply our LLL system with aluminium wall profiles in different size, allowing to insert the LLL either flat or angled, to catch more light, according to the area where they have to be installed.
The extrusions are designed to firmly grip the CAIM Photoluminescent PVC strips upon insertion.
Profiles can be fixed either with screws, flooring adhesive or a recommended double side adhesive tape (item code CA101010 & CA202020 at page 74 of CAIM’s Catalogue Signs and Flags)
